Description:
Join us for a powerful learning opportunity that supports new colleagues, addresses issues of equity education, and helps support Effective Educators. Provides an in-depth protocol to explore deeply student performance on assessments, and so it dovetails nicely with important teaching issues in Wisconsin. With the coming focus on Educator Effectiveness, ASW’s protocol offers a mechanism for teachers to explore what’s working for their students and how to differentiate and change their lessons to meet student needs. Because of this focus on student learning, ASW encourages beginning teachers and their mentors to consider issues of equity and on-going formative assessment, essential to effective teaching. And finally, though the training is designed for mentors, ASW is valuable for anyone who is supporing teachers to look more deeply at student work in guiding instruction.
Intended Audience:
Mentors and others who support beginning teachers, including principals, lead teachers, and instructional coaches or anyone who is supporting teachers to look more deeply at student work in guiding instruction.
