Engaging and Amplifying Student Voice

Building on the importance of oral language in culturally responsive teaching, participants will explore instructional methods applicable to various grade levels that expand student participation in whole class and small group discussions. Particular attention will be paid to scaffolds and protocols designed to maximize opportunities for students to produce language and experience equity of voice in the classroom.
