Description

“Creating Conditions for Equitable Instruction” will build upon your recent mentoring experience, explore valuable concepts, and practice new mentoring processes and tools. It is for mentors who’ve completed Instructional Mentoring, Observing and Conferencing, and Using Data to Inform Instruction (previously called Analyzing Student Work). It complements Designing Effective Instruction (the fourth workshop in the first-year mentor series); attending Designing Effective Instruction in February is highly encouraged if you haven’t yet taken it.

Areas explored in Creating Conditions for Equitable Instruction include:

  • Exploring, Responding and Mentoring for Equity
  • Social and Emotional Learning Framework
  • Mentoring Tensions
  • Cultivating Resilience Through Empathy

Schedule

This two-day training runs from 8:00 am – 3:00 pm, at the Wisconsin Center for Music Education, 1005 Quinn Drive, Waunakee. It includes breakfast (starting at 7:30) and lunch.

Rates

Workshop is $295 per person for DCNTP members; $270 per person for more than one attending from a district. Online materials and print field guide are included; print materials are an additional $20.

We will invoice your district after the workshop.
