Research confirms that school leaders play an essential role in student achievement and teacher effectiveness. We also know that teacher support and development are critical to school improvement efforts.

In New Teacher Center’s School Leaders, Mentors, and Coaches: A Partnership for School Success, principals and other school leaders examine the key components of NTC’s instructional coaching model. Through an exploration of NTC’s three high-leverage coaching protocols and tools, participants learn how mentoring and coaching impact instruction in terms of standards-based content, teaching practices, student actions, and classroom interactions that create and sustain Optimal Learning Environments.
